Ernesto Valdez – President
Ernesto is one of the founding members of Gunby Construction in 1987. His expertise in concrete construction is unparalleled and he is the main key to our success! You can usually find Ernesto on jobsites rather than the office due to his “hands-on” approach to our business.
We are extremely proud of Ernesto’s involvement and contributions to the Hispanic community in the Atlanta area. His relationship with the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is strong and has delivered several awards for small minority owned business. He has lead the way with our minority business certifications with Georgia Department of Transportation (DBE) and the City of Atlanta (HBE). These certifications have provided us with opportunities worth millions of dollars.
Darrell Gunby – Vice President
Darrell is the founder (along with Ernesto) and namesake of the business. His experience in the general construction industry is at the top of the construction who’s who in Atlanta. Darrell is the relations builder for Gunby. He has established business relationships with the top tier contractors in the Southeast. His connection with the AGC (Associated General Contractors of Georgia) started in 1987, when Gunby Construction Co., Inc. was established.
